That last part matters more than it sounds, because pitch drills are boring and the fastest way to build ear-to-voice accuracy is repetition you'll actually do. Audio is analysed locally in the browser: nothing is uploaded, no recordings are stored, and no account is needed, which makes it comfortable for beginners who wouldn't sing into a cloud service. The scope is deliberately narrow and the site says so — feedback is about detected pitch, not a full singing evaluation. It won't judge tone, breath support, vibrato or technique, and background noise or a laptop mic can throw detection off.
