StitchDiag is a diagnostic tool for home sewists who hit a stitch problem and don't know where to start. Instead of scrolling forums for a guess, you photograph both sides of one controlled seam — top and bobbin — and StitchDiag reads the evidence to produce a structured first pass: the most likely causes, the counter-evidence that argues against each one, and a single safe next check to run on scrap fabric. That last part matters. Most sewing advice tells you to change five settings at once, which makes it impossible to know what actually fixed the problem. StitchDiag deliberately narrows to one variable at a time, so you learn your machine instead of just resetting it. It also keeps explicit safety and scope limits: it stays within what can be judged from a seam photo and says so when a problem needs a technician rather than a tension tweak. It runs free in the browser with nothing to install, which makes it practical to pull up mid-project at the machine.
