Flowmingo is built around a simple objection to how most hiring works: the shortlist is drawn from whoever reads well on paper, which quietly discards strong candidates whose CV writing is worse than their actual work. Instead of narrowing to five or ten CVs, it evaluates the whole applicant pool — CV assessment, role-specific screening questions, technical tests, and an AI interview each candidate completes in their own time, which returns a recording plus a multidimensional scored evaluation. The async interview is the part that changes the maths. Getting 100 candidates through a first conversation is impossible for a small team; getting 100 recordings and comparable scores is not, and it means the ranking you act on is based on how people answer rather than how they format a document. Domain-specific models trained across 30-plus job functions keep the scoring relevant to the role, and 60-plus language support matters for distributed hiring. The core platform is free to adopt with revenue coming from optional premium features, so the trial cost is essentially time. The trade-offs deserve to be stated clearly: AI-assisted evaluation needs human review before any decision that affects someone's livelihood, candidates vary in how comfortable they are recording an interview without a person on the other end, and scores are a way to order a pile, not a verdict.
