How a 15-Week Solo Journey Led to Building Omentir, an AI-Powered LinkedIn Sales Workspace
Winning this week's Capital competition is Omentir, an AI sales workspace designed to help founders and small B2B teams discover prospects, run LinkedIn outreach, and manage conversations from one place.
We spoke with founder Vansh Yadav about the story behind Omentir, the challenges of building an AI sales platform, and what comes next.

What is Omentir?
Omentir is an AI-powered sales workspace built specifically around LinkedIn.
The platform helps founders, solo operators, and small B2B teams:
Instead of stitching together lead databases, outreach tools, and inboxes, Omentir combines the entire workflow into a single platform focused on meaningful conversations.

The Story Behind Omentir
The idea for Omentir started during a 15-week solo trip through the Himalayas and other remote regions of Northeast India.
After returning home, Vansh realized he no longer wanted to follow a traditional path.
He left his IIT Bombay degree behind and began building products full-time.
One of those products was an AI video editor called Editly, but traction never arrived.
While searching for a better path, Vansh began manually messaging people on LinkedIn.
That same day he booked two demos for a product he had nearly abandoned.
That experience changed everything.
He started automating the process that worked:
That workflow eventually became Omentir.
Who Is Omentir Built For?
Omentir is designed for:
The platform is especially useful for teams that want to generate pipeline through LinkedIn without hiring a large SDR team or managing multiple disconnected tools.
What Makes Omentir Different?
Most sales tools focus on sending more messages.
Omentir focuses on creating more relevant conversations.
The platform combines prospect discovery, outreach, and reply management in a single LinkedIn-first workspace.
Campaigns are sent directly through the LinkedIn account you connect, while AI uses product context and lead signals to generate more relevant outreach.
Another unique aspect is that Omentir is open-source and self-hostable.
Users can:
The platform also supports integrations with AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Codex, and Grok through its MCP capabilities.
A Feature Vansh Is Especially Proud Of
One feature stands out.
Omentir's "Steal Customers" agent mode identifies people engaging with competitor content and preserves the original post and comment context.
Instead of sending generic outreach based solely on a job title, users can start conversations around topics prospects are already discussing.
The result is outreach that feels significantly more relevant and timely.

The Biggest Challenge
According to Vansh, the hardest part isn't generating messages.
The difficult part is balancing automation with judgment.
Good sales automation requires:
Building that balance remains one of Omentir's biggest challenges.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
Recently, Omentir crossed $500 in monthly recurring revenue.
While still early, the milestone validated that users are finding value in the product and gave the team confidence to continue investing in the platform.
What's Next?
The roadmap is focused on improving the core sales workflow.
Upcoming priorities include:
The long-term vision is ambitious.
Eventually, users may be able to simply ask an AI assistant to create an Omentir account and start generating pipeline automatically without ever visiting the platform directly.
Advice for Other AI Founders
When asked what advice he would give to someone building an AI startup today, Vansh kept it simple:
"Nothing, just have fun and enjoy the ride."
